Plaque Marks are the stain on the smile of the Philadelphia music scene. While the band itself may be new, its members have been holding it down in the Philly scene for over a decade. Featuring the likes of Mike McGinnis of Fight Amp, Patrick Troxell of Creepoid, Doug Sabolik of Ecstatic Vision, and Gene Woolfolk of Powder Room, Plaque Marks are a grating and visceral sonic experience. The band's sound is reminiscent of Texas legends Rusted Shut and Cherubs as well as the early output of local contemporaries Pissed Jeans. Their rhythm section dominates the band's soundscape with guitar that pierces through to set it's own ferocious tone on every song to create a musical product that stays with you long after you've stopped listening.
